Stretch marks are essentially scars. They are areas where the dermis has torn. Sadly, they are permanent and there is no treatment that will completely remove them (aside from surgery) BUT….there are things that we can do to improve their appearance. If the stretch marks are red or purple, they may respond to pulsed laser light treatments. Scar creams may also have an effect.<\/p>\n
If the stretch marks are mature (i.e. skin coloured), we can improve their texture with fractional laser resurfacing.<\/p>\n
