Torn ear lobes

Heavy jewellery, inadvertent tearing or stretching of the ear lobe are the main causes of ear lobe deformities.  We prefer to reconstruct the ear lobe under local anaesthesia.  The procedure is well tolerated.  The recovery time is short.  We recommend waiting at least 6 months before re-piercing your ears.  It is important to avoid new piercing off the surgical scar.
