PRP injections

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is obtained from a blood sample that is centrifuged to separate the plasma from the other blood components.  The plasma, rich in platelets and growth factors is taken and injected on, or into the skin to treat signs of aging.

The PRP procedure involves a standard blood test, where approximately 10ml of blood is drawn. The blood is centrifuged to isolate the plasma components which contain a very concentrated number of platelets and growth factors.  Platelets secrete more than 300 active substances involved in cell regeneration. These proteins and growth factors are responsible for tissue regeneration and the skin repair process.

Collecting PRP takes only 10 to 15 minutes, to which you must add 10 minutes for the injection time.

We recommend 4 treatments at 4-week intervals to maximize your result. Maintenance is important with repeat injections, ideally every 3 or 4 months.  In the scalp, the number of treatments can vary depending on the needs of each person. There is minimal downtime and the expected recovery is not long.
